These terms apply to the Bitnod beta. You agree to them when you tap I agree in the app. Bitnod is provided by IrietekCorp ("we").
1. Who can use Bitnod
- You must be 18 or older. You confirm this before using the app.
- Do not use the app for anyone else, or run more than one device to appear as several people.
2. What Bitnod is, and is not
Bitnod shows you who nearby has it on, by a session name, and lets you talk privately over Bluetooth. It does not check who people are, does not run background checks, and cannot guarantee anyone's intentions. Meet in public, tell a friend, and leave whenever you want; leaving never sends a message.
3. Your conduct
You agree not to:
- harass, threaten, stalk or intimidate anyone, in the app or in person;
- send sexual content, hate speech, or contact details or links meant to move someone off the app without their agreement;
- use the app to identify, track, follow or record other people, or to work out who someone is;
- send anything involving a person under 18 in a sexual way. We report child sexual abuse material to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children;
- modify the app, fake devices or tokens, or interfere with the service or other people's phones;
- use Bitnod for any commercial purpose, spam or solicitation.
4. Reports, blocking and removal
You can report any message and block anyone. A person reviews every report within 24 hours. Bitnod has no accounts, so we cannot see who anyone is; we act on reports by passing threats of harm and anything involving a child to the authorities, and by improving the app's protections. We may stop providing the app to anyone who breaks these terms. We do not tell anyone who reported whom. Safety reports: safety@bitnod.app.
5. Your content
You keep ownership of what you write and share. Content goes from phone to phone and is never stored by us. If someone reports a message, you give us the right to review it.
6. Price
The beta is free. There are no purchases during the beta. If paid features are added later, they will be sold inside the app through the App Store or Google Play, under those stores' terms.
7. Beta software
Bitnod is in testing. Features may change, stop working or be removed, and the beta may end. The service is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for the conduct of other users online or offline.
8. Ending your use
You can stop using Bitnod at any time. Triple-tap your name to erase everything on your phone, or see deleting your data.
9. Trademark
BITNOD™ is a trademark of Shawn Junior Stewart. U.S. trademark application Serial No. 50191760, filed October 30, 2026 (Class 38). These terms give you no right to use the name or the logo.
10. Changes and contact
We may update these terms; we will tell you in the app before significant changes apply. Governing law and dispute terms: to be added after legal review. Questions: support@bitnod.app.
